The battle for health is now in the arena of lifestyle diseases. These are the maladies that are now robbing us of our energy, disabling us prematurely, and killing us slowly. The good news is that greater vitality, better health and longer life can be ours through regular, brisk physical activity.
As we eat food there are times when indigestion can resut from some mistake or ignorant act. It is therefore very important to know from where the issue stemmed. As we know, there are ineffeciencies that can result from this discomfort, so it good to be able to handle it promptly.
In his book, Abundant Health, Julius Gilbert White lists several special causes of indigestion (pp. 91-99)
"The sower is not always to meet with disappointment. Of the seed that fell into good ground the saviour said, This "is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. "
The seed sown by the wayside represents the word of God as it falls upon the heart of an inattentive hearer.The good seed finds no place to take root and Satan catches it away.
Many persons are diligent in doing the important components of sustaining their physical bodies, they also seek out positive-minded quotes, lectures & visit their psychologists often, but still there is still something missing.
"Luke specifies the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and pleasures of this life. These are what choke the word, the growing spiritual seed.The soul ceases to draw nourishment from Christ, and spirituality dies out of the heart."
It is by half-heartedness in the Christian life that men become feeble in purpose and changeable in desire. The effort to serve both self and Christ makes one a stony ground hearer, and he will not endure when the test comes upon him.
Many are of the view that the Prime Minister is standing up for something by not sanctioning the same-sex ambassadors but this could well be nothing more than a political move to gain votes in light of an upcoming election while being fully aware of the machinations already in place to bring about the constitutional changes on same sex relationships in Jamaica.
Sadly what the scripture describes is to not what is represented in belief and religious experience by church leaders and parishioners. Due to the influence of spiritualism and new age principles the term has been corrupted to now be a manifestation of a spirit that is not of God.
The common denominator for triggering the spiritual manifestation in all these reports is speaking in tongues. This is believed by all christians to be a gift from God and is an indication of the working of the Holy Spirit however, the difference begins to show up with an understanding of how the Holy Spirit works and the interpretation of how the gift of tongues is actually demonstrated.
