Jamaica's Government Winked Sabbath Keepers With Misnomer?

What's in a name?

Names in Scriptures carry deep significance and at time speaks to the character of a person or a memorial of an event. Take for example, when the Ark of the Covenant was captured by the Philistines, Phineas wife named the Child Ichabod "saying, The glory is departed from Israel.." 1 Sam 4:21. Ichabod therefore meant 'No Glory" and this is also confirmed by the Strong's Concordance. When Jacob wrestled with God that event was memorialized by naming the place of the event; "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." Gen 32:30 KJV. Peniel according to the Strong's Concordance means "Facing God". Some parents name their children based on some liking of theirs also who or what they would like the child to become or emulate Mercedes. Many parents appreciate the luxury quality and the finesse of the name of the car company Mercedes Benz and so the child is named after the brand. The Prophet Samuel is named so because his mother being barren petitioned God with a heavy heart in the Sanctuary for a son and the Priest Eli promised that God would grant it unto her. When this was accomplished the Child was named Samuel which means "heard of God".

The name of the Lord was proclaimed to Moses and was understood as qualities or characteristics:

"And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth," Exodus 34:5-6 KJV

If a person is known in a community to be a thief, when his name is called to another person, even though his name may be honesty with a capital H, the hearers mind automatically thinks of his thieving nature without effort. So it should be with God when His name is mentioned, hope should spring up if one is hopeless, when his name is proclaimed there should be truth otherwise it would be speaking of another. There is also an expectancy that his characteristics will be enshrined or developing in the persons that declare the name of the Lord. God is very particular with names that in Exodus 23:13 KJV He warns:

"And in all [things] that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

The above is a very consequential declaration because that would tear down the false god of the Trinity given to believers as fundamental belief number two. God is specific in nature and to further drive home the point Hosea 2:16 KJV states:

And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, [that] thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali

That means do not call me by another name and think you are talking to me, hence trinity should not be proceeding from the mouth of True believers.

Not only is God specific about His name but that name is to be in His institutions; the churches, the schools, the sanitariums. God has also given us a name as true believers that separates us from the world. Due to the Corona Virus Policies the present atmosphere around the world is very restrictive and oppressive but somehow Jamaica seems to be topping the charts. In an Island where every one in ten persons should be a Sabbath Keeper, according to the national statistics the roll over to the government mindset is in full swing. In the midst of this now oppressive country and a freedom hating government, The Office of the Prime Minister has issued as if it were a thoughtful letter to dictate worship. This however carries within it a pronouncement of doom to Seventh-Day Adventists, and a relegation to irrelevance in the scheme of denominations. Any Seventh-Day Adventist pastor who performs his duty in the order of these standards is literally being stupid! It is no different from Uriah carrying his own death letter to Joab. The words of Psalms 83:4,5 KJV would paint what is about to take place:

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the NAME of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

Letter To Churches From Jamaica's Office of the Prime Minister

The above letter is the Governments dictation as to when and how to worship God. Many would say it is a logical step to reduce the spread of the Corona Virus but would to recognize the direction of this onslaught. In Revelation 18:13-14 and Daniel chapter 3 it points out the role that civil governments will play in the conflict against God and his truth where freedoms will be restricted. Notice in the above letter that Sunday is a day of no-movement but the worshippers can go as long as their pastors give them letters. This may seem pretty convenient for Sabbath Keepers Right? Well, its not. See the quote below:

The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. It is our duty to do all in our power to avert the threatened danger. 5T 452

There should be no calm among sabbath keepers now but earnest activity in spreading the truth and to warn of the impeding danger. The Counsel goes on to say:

We should endeavor to disarm prejudice by placing ourselves in a proper light before the people. We should bring before them the real question at issue, thus interposing the most effectual protest against measures to restrict liberty of conscience. We should search the Scriptures and be able to give the reason for our faith. 5T 452

The government is mildly promoting sunday observance nationally from a quiet and plausible stand point and the titles used to depict the churches involved speak with deep and vibrating tones what the plan for Sabbath keepers is. Whether this was by an oversight by the clerk who typed the Prime Minister's Letter or Intentional dark speech it carries prophetic import. The Official Government letter identified the Sabbath Keepers as "Adventists" and the other as "Sunday Worshippers". Encyclopedia Britanica will define Adventist for you:

Adventist, member of any one of a group of Protestant Christian churches that trace their origin to the United States in the mid-19th century and that are distinguished by their emphasis on the belief that the personal, visible return of Christ in glory (i.e., the Second Coming) is close at hand, a belief shared by many Christians.

So if you read the first line correctly you would recognize that Sunday churches are also Adventists because they too do look for the second coming of Jesus Christ, they too are also protestants by definition of protesting against the abuses of Rome. The Spirit of Prophecy confirms this in 3T 37: "Our most bitter opponents are found among the first-day Adventists." The Jamaica Union President sat on a panel with other Sunday ministers to promote vaccine usage in an ecumenical effort. Now we see the Jamaica government classing Sabbath Keepers as just Adventists which is a shame. We are Seventh-Day Adventists! The Sabbath is a heritage of the Lord and Joel 2:17 says to "..give not thy heritage unto reproach, wherefore should they say where is their God.."

The value of a name now comes into full view as the Conferences are truly behaving unlike the character of Seventh-Day Adventists. And it is no wonder we see the present compromises and apostasy. The name is being changed but we are counselled:

"In the night season I was present in several councils, and there I heard words repeated by influential men to the effect that if the American Sentinel would drop the word Seventh-day Adventist from its columns, and would say nothing about the Sabbath, the great men of the world would patronize it; it would become popular, and do a larger work. This policy is the first step in a succession of wrong steps." CW 97

The statement is made, “Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign.” Let us remember this is spoken by God to all created intelligences. Therefore we are Seventh-day Adventists. 8lt Ms, Ms 67, 1893

It would make perfect sense why the Dragon or Civil Authority (secondary sense) in Revelation 12:17 will only be wroth with Seventh-Day Adventists and not Adventists. For Adventist and Sunday worshippers to end up in the same letter that is speaking to Resting on Sunday or the reverencing of Sunday by No Movement should sound clear warnings. Whether by Error or not that a Government body could not type out the word Seventh-Day Adventist, God allowed such to happen that the "wise may understand" that it is time to have His name and represent it.

Let us Strive to be a part of the Group in Revelation 22:4 "And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads". Will you have an Ichabod or a Peniel experience?
